For more than 13 years I’ve practiced internal medicine at Raleigh Adult Medicine. I specialized in internal medicine because I am presented with an interesting diversity of medical conditions. I am board-certified in internal medicine and I have a special interest in women’s health issues.
After completing my residency at the University of South Carolina, I served as an internal medicine consultant in the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. I returned to North Carolina in 1995 and was an attending physician at WakeMed until I joined Raleigh Adult Medicine in 2000.
I’m a native North Carolinian, originally from Erwin. With undergraduate degrees in psychology and zoology from NC State University, it should be no surprise that I love going to NCSU athletic events!
I have three pets. Lexie, who is a rescue dog, a cat named Cassie (they tolerate each other), and a beta fish.
I enjoy working in my yard, swimming, and quilting. I’m a member of the Capital Quilters’ Guild. I enjoy spending quiet time with a good book, and also enjoy heavy metal and rock music.
